Very simple to use, solid aluminum, seems like it will stand up for a long time. Both parts are ridged so your hamburger patties will be ridged on both sides. Makes a patty exactly 4 1/2″ across. The included wax paper makes it very easy to create your patties for immediate use or storage, because of the paper the meat releases from the bottom section with just a couple of upside-down shakes, and does not stick to the sides. Also easy to clean. A good, simple product.

If you like burgers, and honestly who doesn’t, then this burger press is perfect. Made of strong non-stick materials, it’s easy to use and easy to clean.

Tip: place a square piece of plastic wrap in the bottom of the press, place meat on top, place another plastic wrap in top, then press with top piece of press. Once done, everything is ready to come out. You can then use the plastic wrap for storage. While the metal is non-stick, the meat isn’t and may cling to the metal, hence the plastic wrap; you can simply lift the burger out and you’re good to go.

And the grill lines on the top and bottom of the press make the burgers look like they came off a grill. It comes with wax paper to slide between multiple burgers but I use the plastic wrap instead.

This was my first time using a burger press, and I used it for my homemade vegan patties and it shaped them perfectly with no mess on my hands. They end up a little wider than a standard store bought veggie patty. The press is probably made larger because cow muscle/fat shrinks when cooking. But the veggie burgers I made with this are fine on a bun even though the burger is slightly larger than a bun. One thing I am glad that I did was buy extra wax papers. The papers that come with this press are the exact size of the press which probably works, but those that I purchased on Amazon called, “Norpo Square Wax paper” (small size) are a little bit bigger which makes it easy to pull the paper/burger/paper out of the press from the bottom. I can see myself using this press for freezing lots of different types of “patties” and frying in a skillet later for quick, cheap meals.
