EPAP Technology, Available Without a Prescription

Theravent is the first and only FDA-cleared device to use EPAP technology (Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure). Patented MicroValves in each strip help regulate airflow to create gentle pressure in your airway, keeping it open to reduce the vibration that causes snoring.

Target the Source of Snoring

Theravent uses your own breathing in conjunction with micro-valve technology to target the real source of snoring.

Snoring starts when the muscles that surround your throat relax during sleep. Your air passageway narrows, and the air you breathe in moves more quickly, triggering the tissue vibrations that cause snoring.

As you breathe in, the micro-valves open, then, as you breathe out, the Theravent strip partially closes, creating positive pressure in your throat. This pressure opens up your throat, quieting the tissue vibrations that cause snoring.

How to Use Theravent

Step 1: Remove Theravent from backer card

Theravent should be applied to a clean, dry nose just before you are ready to go to bed. For best results ensure the skin is free of lotions, oils or moisture.

Step 2: Apply Theravent

For the first few applications it may be helpful to apply Theravent while using the mirror to align the center hold with the center of the nose.

Step 3: Check the Seal

After you have adhered Theravent to your nose, check around the edges of the device to ensure you have a good seal. Hint: To check the seal, place your finger over the center hole. When you blow out, you should not feel any air escaping around the outside of the device.

Step 4: Now you’re ready for a quiet night!

While falling asleep, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. After you fall asleep, you’ll naturally return to breathing through your nose. If you have trouble falling asleep or if you wake up during the night and are not able to return to sleep, simply remove the device and start again the next night. Over time you will adjust to sleeping with the device through the night.

My husband snores regularly and we had resorted to often sleeping in separate rooms. Tried some other snore prevention strips like you can buy anywhere, but they didn’t work very well for us. These Theravent ones really do work well. We tried the trial pack first so we could experience results with the different strengths. We found that with the light or normal strips, he would often still snore. The Max ones work the best for us. It is rare now to have him still snore when wearing these. We are very happy. When we get low, we just order them automatically since they make such a difference in our lives. I would definitely recommend trying these!

For nasal snorers I believe. There is a difference. I’ve been getting deeper sleep with these and my wife hasn’t noticed any issues. I do tend to take off a couple hours before I get out of bed because I does restrict some breathing. But the key word is some you just breathe through the mouth more when you use these. I’m really impressed

Finally!! I’ve tried everything short of C-pap and nothing has worked. Until now! I purchased the trial pack. I went through all of the strengths, and actually the lite ones worked better than the max strength. My boyfriend is sleeping in the same bed again.

They’re comfortable on the nose, and they don’t hurt as bad as the nose strips when taking off.

The only thing, for me anyway, is that it makes me sleep with my mouth open, so i get thirsty throughout the night…but totally worth it.

I am very grateful to have purchased these little strips, and so is my boyfriend! They’re pretty much a band-aid with a one-way vent for your nose. Breathing does take a little getting used to (you can’t breathe out through your nose with them on), but once you train yourself to work with them, you forget they’re even there. Adhesion is great, but only on the first attempt. They definitely stick, but if you don’t get it in exactly the right place you want the first time and need to adjust, you pretty much need to use a different strip for it to stay on during the night. Overall, great item – will purchase again.

typically snore every night – didn’t expect a lot from these, but I’ve used them 4 nights now and my partner says I haven’t snored once. They are a little uncomfortable while wearing before going to sleep (breathing through your nose feels a little restricted, which I think is the point), and they leave my mouth extremely dry in the morning, which usually wakes me up very early at which point I need to drink some water before sleeping the last couple of hours. beyond that i’m pleased with how well they’ve worked for how simple they are

Was skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised to hear from my wife that I slept soundly, did not not snore or toss and turn all night. Started with the trial pack. Regular seemed to work best for me. If you have a mustache it will work best if you hair is trimmed to not be closer that 1/8 below you nose as the device adheres best to skin. Mine was already trimmed like this so I had no issues. Took a few times of applying it to get the hang of it. By the third night i felt like a pro. Not very intrusive either. If you don’t get it squarely attached it can indeed make a slight whistling noise. After a few applications I had no issues however.

Love these nasal snore strips. Have nearly eliminated my snoring by forcing me to breath through my mouth. I used to wear C-Pap mask, but after losing 45 lbs, had a repeat sleep study done and results were that I did not need C-pap any longer. Have gained some of the weight lost back, thus my snoring has returned. Was waking up each morning with migraine headaches. My neurologist asked if I had continued to use the nasal strips that I had been using. I told him I was no longer using them. His suggestion was to return to the use of my nasal snore strips and to begin a new BP medication. I returned to the use of these strips and called his office and informed him that I had returned to the use of the nasal strips and did not fill the Rx he had called in for me. As the nasal strips had alleviated the migraine headaches and the snoring.

the product works. once you get used to the breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth this will drastically reduce and possibly get rid of snoring all together.

My husband, who used to snore some, now snores all the time and it keeps me awake at night. We have even taken to sleeping in different beds because of it. He hates that we sleep in different beds so was willing to try anything. We’ve tried these for 6 nights and he hasn’t snored at all. Peaceful night’s sleep for both of us. So thankful for an easy, effective solution!

I was able to replace my CPAP for OBSTRUCTIVE sleep apnea with this product. I am thrilled.

I am having the hardest time falling asleep with these – my mouth waters and as I drift off something wakes me up… not sure what but suddenly I’m awake. I end up tossing and turning for an hour or so and then rip them off. My wife says that I’m snoring less, probably because I’m practicing exhaling through my mouth. Inhaling through this is distracting and there is frequently a noise so it’s not silent. I did not find any of the trial-sizes more or less comfortable, and eventually purchased a full box of the mediums, but haven’t had a good night’s sleep after probably ten nights.

I used this product for 6 straight days. It took some getting used to and was uncomfortable the first few days but once I got used to it, I stopped snoring. When I first tried it on I got a panicky feeling and couldn’t wear it long. I recommend putting it on before bed just to get to get used to your change in breathing. I did wake up with a dry mouth most mornings. Also the adhesive did not irritate my skin which I was worried about.

Works great if you’ve got a fresh shave and the nose of a pixie. If not, works for about half the night, then one side comes unstuck and your wife keep poking you to make the noise of one side of a mutant band-aid flapping in the hurricane-force wind of your manly respiration cease.

I gave it 3 stars because I decided to split the review in half lol
I really like it, my husband did not snore while wearing them.
He on the other hand did not like the way it felt on his nose and only wore them 2 nights

I read all the reviews before buying these. I can imagine that they don’t work for some folks, they definitely work for me. I started with the intro pack. That option has a few “starter” strips that don’t block as much air. They help you get used to having them on. Then you move up to the “standard strength “ these block more air. (Always just on the exhale). The box also has “extra strength “ strips. These are for those people for whom the regular strength doesn’t work. The regular strength worked just fine for me. My wife is very happy. She says that I do still sometimes snore when I’m on my back, but most of the time there’s no more snoring. I’ve tried a lot of different things, and these have worked the best.

OMG people!!! This thing saved my relationship #HANDSDOWN. The man was starting to sleep on the couch because of my LOUD snoring….hahaha

Wow. Attached are charts from the SnoreLab app – one on a typical night and one from last night, my first night using the Theravent. They speak for themselves, really. The product largely stopped my snoring. I’ve wasted time and money trying several products to help my snoring – nose vents, a mouthpiece, a special pillow – this is the first thing that actually worked.

I had no issues putting it on my nose and getting a good seal. It was a little funky getting used to having it on (you have to breathe through your mouth until you fall asleep), but after a few minutes it didn’t really bother me.
