I bought this back in April and just now used it and it’s now July. I’m glad I like it cause I’m sure its well out of the return window. So first things first this thing is VERY LOUD. It is true. only half the brush blows air out of it. This is odd to me that it does that but it still works you just have to adjust the way you use it to get all parts of your hair. It’s easy to use. I like it more than traditional hand hair dryers and also the dryers with the comb attached. My only concern is washing the brush because i blow dry my hair with quite a bit of product in it. It gets quite hot! Be sure to keep your hand towards the handle or use with a heat-resistant glove if you want to hold toward the upper part.

I think this worked well for my naturally curly, thin hair. I let it dry about 70% before using, and then focused mostly on the top half as the ends dried quicker. It was easy to glide it through and I used on the low setting, which was just fine. This seriously cut down my style time as normally i’d have to do the whole thing over with a straightener. Getting it right from the root was really helpful. I also noticed more shine, which I never have! I tried this with a charcoal shampoo (Hask) + detangling conditioner (Hempz) and NO leave in treatments/products AT ALL afterwards. Seemed to also make a nice difference in not weighing hair down and smoother texture. I think this is good for fine hair. The round brush I am afraid would pull too much out.

This review is for the curly girls!
When i first saw this product i didn’t see any reviews from girls with Afro-kinky hair. So here’s mine. My hair is a type 4b/c texture and this is a much better alternative to the “hairdryer in one hand, comb/brush in the other” method to getting a blow out. I lost about a third of the amount of hair that i normally would when using the other method. And, it took about half the amount of time for my to get through all of my bra strap length, tightly coiled hair. The bristles probably aren’t the best quality for everyday use, however. So that’s something to be aware of. But, I only use heat on my hair once a year so it works for those of us who normally stay away from all the heat. Defiantly worth the money!

Ok, let me start off by saying I don’t know anything about hair care. I shampoo, condition and air dry. I am also guilty of sleeping with slightly damp hair since I refuse to use a blow dryer. TBH, I have always envied gals with an amazing blow out and have always been intimidated of giving myself one. So what happened? Pinterest happened.

After my evening shower, I applied some heat protector to my ridiculously damp hair and decided to give this blow dry a try. My initial and only thoughts were: MY GOD!? Where has this product been all of my life!?

10 minutes into my blow out, I couldn’t believe how amazing my hair felt and looked. It was shiny, smooth and full of volume. I can’t wait til my next shower so I can use this again! 🙂

This is too good to be true! It made my hair softer and straighter than my normal routine of blow drying then flat ironing. I don’t have any of those split ends sticking up on the top of my head either. It’s gentle on hair and and no more high heat damage from my flat iron. I am telling everyone about this dryer brush. I would have paid five times more for this because that is how awesome it is. Trust me!!

I know that headline sounds dramatic, but I’m serious… I am a spaz when it comes to doing my own blowout, using a standard hairdryer and round brush. But this thing is so easy and effective that even if can handle it. I flip my head upside down and use the high setting first to get my whole head nearly dry. Then I flip back up and finish it off on the low then cool settings. The only issue I have is getting lift at the crown, which I use then the Revlon 1 1/2″ hot air styler to accomplish. I use that to add some final touches to the bangs and the ends of my hair, too. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes, which for a blowout on my curly, thick hair is pretty amazing. I’m planning to by another one in case they discontinue this gizmo!

Ohhhh yea baby !!! This blow dry definitely changed the game in my home! I have four little girls all natural plus my own natural hair that I wash condition and deep condition every week – 2 weeks! Hair days are literally two days in my home! This dryer saved me SOOOO much time it use to take me hours to blow dry my hair + my girls hair! My hair took 20 my daughters hair took 30 a pieces. It’s so easy to use it does pull or tug at our hair. Glides threw our hair and you can adjust the heat! It does get REALLY hot so be careful. I’m so happy I bought this!

I purchased this dryer after seeing various positive reviews. I am African American and do not process my hair. The drying process can be difficult, but this dryer makes it easier, because I can use one hand, and it’s less tension. I saw many positive reviews about this dryer. This dryer like many other hair products are not marketed toward people of color without straight hair, yet I am certain that Revlon has received a significant boost in sales, because of reviews placed by women of color, who do not have straight hair.

I am most never write reviews for products. Typically it’s because I just don’t care enough, the product works fine, as advertised. I think this product will literally change my life. I’ve only used it once, so I can’t say how it will hold up, but I’m not sure I care. It worked so incredibly well the first time that I will never use a regular hair dryer again. For reference, I have very thick wavy hair, and it normally takes me a ridiculous amount of time to dry and style my hair. I actually dread doing my hair most days. This dryer has cut down that time tremendously. I will probably still use a straight iron to style it a bit, but I’m not even sure I would really need to. That’s how well it works. I can’t stop saying ‘oh my god’ out loud because I honestly was so skeptical that it would actually work, but it really did. I would recommend this to anyone.

I was skeptical about this brush as I have tried similar products in the pat without success. However this is on another playing field. I bought the paddle brush version and find it to be so easy to use. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. Blow drying my hair was never something I enjoyed. It would take me between 20 and 40 minutes to achieve the same results as I got with this brush in just over 8 minutes! I have attached a photo of my dry hair as well as the screenshot I took of my stopwatch that I set up. On top of all of this I also have absolutely no frizz when I use this brush. I am used to the “halo frizz” at the top of my head after blow drying but it doesn’t happen with this brush. I cannot recommend this product enough.

This is by far the greatest tool I have in my hair kit. Having natural hair has its pros and cons. The main con is that when you have thick kinky hair detangling is an all day affair and blowing drying requires at least 2-3 hours. This has changed the game. Right after washing my hair I’ll pass this through and in less than 20 minutes I’m DONE with my whole head. I have been tempted to just get a perm on multiple occasions because I didn’t want to deal with my hair but this has changed all that. Just use it sparingly to avoid heat damage and you’rs Good. There’s really no need to flat iron afterwards since this gets the hair relatively straight. I have 4b-4c hair and I love it. Best Amazon purchase ever, no regrets at all.

So I have fairly curly hair. I washed my, hair towel tried it. I showed a pic of my hair wet then dried with the brush. It makes my hair pretty frizzy. This would be great for drying before straightening with a flat iron. I find this much easier to use than the regular hair dryer. It weighs a lot less too. I will definitely keep it, it will replace my current hair dryer. I was hoping it would straighten it so I am disappointed.

I was beyond skeptical. A girlfriend of mine got one last week and raved about how well it straightened her hair. Her hair texture is wayyyyyy different than mine. My hair is kinky and coily. I washed, dried w/a tshirt, put on blow dry cream then used this on high. I did no detangling st all but when I tell you this thing straightened my hair like it’s never been straightened before! I typically DO NOT blow dry nor straighten my hair. I always air dry and typically wear wash n gos or twist outs. I’m getting my hair braided tomorrow and just decided to blow it out for length and ease of braiding. I am in LOVE with this. Just ordered a 2nd one as all 4 of my daughters are natural as well.

And just a tip for y’all DO NOT put oil or oily products on your hair post wash prior to blow drying. That seals in moisture and makes it difficult to dry your hair. Find a blow dry cream or heat protectant 😘

This product really deserves it’s five star review. Let be really clear here, I HAVE 4C HAIR, No Really 4c hair. I spend so much time detangling my hair that it is ridiculous!!! I mean hours and I have tried every trick in the book. By the time I finish one section the other has gotten tangled again. My hair is so thick that it would take me 45 minutes to blow it dry, so I just never did it. I was able to blow dry my hair on the cool setting in 20 minutes. I did use heat protectant along with a leave in in as well as some black castor oil heavily on the ends. I am able to comb thru my hair, now. I am so relieved. I think I am going to start seeing some real growth now that I will not be putting off my wash days because I simply don’t have the time for all that detangling. Not to mention that I was always losing a lot of hair with the detangling process. There was some hair in the brush styler but nothing compared to my usual hair loss. I love this product. I did notice that the high setting was really hot, I just used the cool setting and it worked wonders. The bristles are very malleable and the bristle tips are rounded. I have read that some folks have had a problem getting their roots to dry. I had no problem at all. This product is well worth the price. I would have paid three times as much just to be able to part my hair without all of the tangles.
